Hi Kate, I happened upon your blog post by way of Jarrod Jones, My pastor. I am also Erin W.’s Mom. Keep blogging. I laughed so hard at the way you express yourself. It’s such a blessing to be able to have a sense of humor and to share it with others. Thank you for your insight. Praise God for our upcoming forever Christmas! Patty Ardler
Hi Patty! I LOVE your daughter! Thanks for taking the time to write—I’m glad the post brought you a laugh or two! Happy New Year to you.
Hi Kate, my name is Lois. I attend Grace Community Church and have the privilege of serving with your mom in Graceland, she’s an amazing leader. I pray for you (and your little sweet peas as you call them) often. Thank you for sharing your heart with us in your blog. I’m new in my Christian walk and am searching every corner of my being to see where I need to make a change. I love Psalm 139 and pray it all the time. God is so good and he has a plan for every one of us. I will continue to pray for your family and hope that soon you will be able to hold your little sweet peas in your arms.
Hi Lois! It’s so sweet of you to take the time to write and also to be praying for us. You have no idea how much that has meant to Jason and I. We feel totally covered in prayer. It’s super humbling. So thank you. I love your heart for the Lord already—what a journey you have begun. Jesus is my best friend and the love of my life—I pray that He will be yours for all the days of your life as well. He is good! I hope to get to meet you next time we’re in NY. Keep visiting mcmiracle and feel free to write whenever you want! I love to connect with our readers.
Hi Kate,
The other day when I read your “He does not have to tell us why” post, I started to type a message to you twice but did not want it to be a sad response, so I never hit send. I cried tears for you and just felt your sadness and wanted to hug you. How awesome it was today to read your current post and how true it is. You and Jason have the love of our Savior and nothing can fill the holes in your hearts like the love of our God. I’m still sending you that hug over the cyber waves and hope it warms you. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and for reminding us to keep our faces lifted to God ALL THE TIME!
Lois—I love the body of Christ. There really is nothing like it when it works the way it is supposed to. How overwhelming it is to us to have people we’ve never met weep with us over the loss of our sweet babies. Your heart has reflected Jesus to us (and also to my parents) and we are really blessed and thankful for you. Thanks for taking the time to stop by the blog and offer your kind words.
Hugs to you!
Hello Kate & Jason! I’m so sorry to hear about your difficult journey in trying to conceive. I feel I can relate in so many ways; my husband and I have been trying our darndest to conceive over the past year and a half, with medical issues of our own getting in the way. While I haven’t mustered up the courage to share our journey with my readers, I think it’s wonderful that you guys are documenting your experiences. Good luck with the embryo adoption and I hope this is God’s time for you two to start growing your little sweet pea
Thanks, Corrie! I’ve prayed for you this morning—that God would give you wisdom and clarity for your journey ahead. I’m so glad you stopped by. I visited your blog—you’ve got some AMAZING pictures. Love it. Thanks again for posting.
Hi Kate, My name is Dawn and I go to Grace Community Church. I am part of your mom & dads small group. I just left her house tonight after a MUCH NEEDED time of fellowship with her and the rest of our Grace family girls.Betty is so precious to me and such a blessing to all of us! I just wanted to tell you I have been praying for you and your husband. Betty has told me so much about you, I can’t wait to meet you sometime! My heart broke for you when I heard the news.It brought back memories of my beautiful daughter Danielle who we lost at birth 22 years ago. After many miscarriges I thought for sure this time the Lord would bless us with a child, but once again his answer was not yet. At the time I didn’t think I could live another day. I will never know why we lost her this side of heaven, but what I do know is that God has proven himself to be faithful, forgiving, merciful, loving, and true all the days of my life and my joy is found in him. Your blog is nothing less than a testimony of your love for Christ and I find it so powerful and beautiful that in this time of great pain and dissapointment you are ministering to so many in ways you might not even realize. Pastor Jarrod preached on this same passage 2 weekends ago and after reading your blog I just realized these words in 2nd Chronicles were preparing me for a battle I did not forsee coming this past week. A battle I don’t need to fight, but I do need to have faith, Pray, stand firm, don’t give up and let God fight this battle. So thank you Kate for your faithfulness to Jesus ! It has been a blessing to me tonight
I know the Lord will continue to give you a joy and peace that passes understanding. Continue to lean on him. One of my favorite songs is Praise you in this storm, by Casting Crowns. Im sure you’ve heard it. Take it from me, turn it up real loud and sing your heart out! lol Its like being washed in the love of Jesus!! Hope to talk to you again soon
In Christ Dawn oh and God did finally say yes to my plea for children I have 3 beautiful sons ages 21,18, 16 and a beautiful baby girl age 7. Our God is GOOD!!!!!
Hey Dawn,
I read this a while ago and was really blessed that you took the time to share your story and encouragement as well. Thank you for your kind words and prayers. Thanks for being willing to share your grief and your story. I am so thankful for people like you who have come alongside us in prayer during this journey. It’s also been a tremendous blessing to us knowing that my parents have been surrounded by such a loving family at Grace as they’ve walked out their grief as well. So thanks for that too! I’m so glad you stopped by the blog and hopefully you will continue to keep in touch! Our God IS good…Amen!
Hello,
I found your blog thru Katie Summers Crews. I have been a nurse in obstetrics and high risk pregnancies for 7 years. I’ve seen moms in the hospital on bed rest for 20+ weeks because of water rupture. I’ve also seen healthy babies born after their water broke earlier than yours! You and Liam will remain in my prayers. God is so faithful. I cannot wait to hear that you guys have welcomed your sweet angel into the world as a healthy 35 week baby;)
Kate—
We’ve never met, but my heart goes out to you and your precious family every day. I went to business school with Katie Kuhl (she’s become a dear friend of mine!) and she shared your story with me a few weeks ago. I will continue praying every day for Liam’s safe arrival and for yours and Jason’s strength of mind as you stride closer and closer to victory every day!!!
