Hello Blogger World! This is our first blog.
While this blog will be about everything “Kate and Jason” {to keep our friends and family updated}, the reason I {we} started it was because we wanted to document the process of us trying to start a family. To be honest, it’s pretty daunting to start a blog that will hopefully document the journey that you are about to take as a new parent. The journey itself is daunting. But we are ready and we are so excited.
The anticipation feels like Christmas morning. But better.
Let me back up a little.
First of all, my name is Kate. Hello!
My husband’s name is Jason. We have been married since 2006. We met at school in western Pennsylvania and were friends for three years before we dated and then got engaged.
Jason is from the west coast. He was born and raised in Washington. He is one of six children. Most of his family lives in the Pacific Northwest. I am from the east coast. I was born in New York. I am an only child. My family is all over the country. We are best friends. We have a dog named Charlie. We have a dog named Brody. They are miniature dachshunds and are actually brothers from different litters. They have been our delight. Jason works in finance and I am a life coach and, you guessed it, blogger.
Our faith defines us as individuals, as a couple, and in our relationships. Our most important relationship is with Jesus and, by grace, we continue to learn what it is to build our marriage on the Rock.
This blog is not about us. It’s about Him.
It’s about what God has done in our lives to bring us to this point where we feel we are ready to be parents. Neither of us comes from a perfect family {who does?} and we understand that we won’t be perfect either. However, we have prayerfully waited for the time that God would release us to begin considering a family.
That time has come. *
It our sincere prayer that this blog will be a source of encouragement to you. We pray that you will be blessed by the words and stories that you read, and most importantly you will see Jesus in our journey.
Thank you for being here…
whoever you are.
*When this blog was started it was with a genuine desire to share our story as we journeyed into the world of becoming a family. We had no way of knowing that within a year of the first post we would find out that we would be diagnosed with infertility and begin an entirely different journey. This continues to be our story. We continue to walk in faith. And this continues to be for His glory.
I love you both so much. I know this must be hard but we are all here to stand behind you and love you. Thank you so much for doing this blog and keeping us posted. i love you both!
Aww, thanks, Bethany. We love you too!!! We have so much appreciated the messages and prayers from your family.
Kate, I have the wonderful blessing of recently meeting your parents and they are just so awesome. I too, am battling infertility and your mom recommended I check out your site. I can’t wait to meet you & connect with you on this. I came to Christ during a failed IVF attempt and it has changed my life for the better. While I would love to have been blessed with a family already, Im impressed at the script that God has written for me! Hope to meet you soon!!!
Well it’s pretty unacceptable that it’s taken me almost 2 stinking years to reply to this. I know we’ve talked and met in between, but thanks again for sharing and posting and for all of your prayers for us along the way. You guys continue to be in our prayers with those sweet little boys of yours!
Kate,
I know it’s been awhile since we caught up, but I wanted to let you know that you and Jason are in our prayers and on our hearts. You’ve had quite the road of hurdles & blessings. We’ll stick with you as you continue on your journey.
Love,
Rachel
Thank you so much, Rachel. I have loved seeing some of the posts of your growing sweet family. I have such good memories of our time together in school and am super blessed by your prayers and willingness to walk this journey with us. Love you!

Wishing you all the best! God Bless!

I only read a few of your blogs and a little bit about you but I am already deeply moved by God’s grace and love over you and your husband. God truly is being glorified in both your lives and I pray that God may give you and your husband the desire of your hearts. Many blessings!
